The novel Book Lovers by Emily Henry is about Nora Stephen, a literary agent from New York City. Because of this, her whole life is books and she knows that she's not the dream girl or the sweetheart. In fact the only people that she seems to be the hero for are her clients, who she helps land huge literary deals, and her sister, Libby. This is why she agrees to go to Sunshine Falls, North Carolina when Libby begs her, even though she is a city girl through and through. When Nora finally arrives in her small town nightmare things only get worse when she sees her sworn enemy, editor Charlie Lanstra.
I’ve read all of Emily Henry’s books and it seems that she can’t write a bad one. The only complaint I have is that the books are a little slow in the beginning, thus making them a little hard to get into right away. While this is true, these books quickly pick up speed and things start to get interesting. The way she writes her characters is probably the best part about her books; they have so much depth while also being extremely lovable. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to fans of Emily Henry’s other contemporary romance novels, People We Meet On Vacation and Beach Read, Hallmark movie lovers, or contemporary romance fans in general.
