Fable by Adrienne Young

Fable is about a girl named Fable, who was abandoned by her father at a young age, learning to live day-to-day on an island with nothing but her wits, and the help of a boy named West. When Fable’s trust is betrayed, and she is driven from her old life, can she make a new life for herself with West and his crew? And if Fable does, how much will her new life cost her? What’s the price for freedom?

If there’s one thing I know about books, it’s that the plot and characters have the power to make or break any story. If the storyline is slow and boring, or if the characters are distant and unlikeable, you’ll never give the book a second chance, a second glance. This is not one of those books. I liked Fable. I loved the plot, setting, characters, all of it! Love West, love Auster, love Paj, love everyone. Love Fable, too, because how can you not?

This is for teens and young adults. There is romance, there is blood, there are epic fight scenes. If you can’t handle any of that, don’t read this. There are near-death experiences, there is heartbreak and betrayal, there are pirates. If you can’t handle any of that, don’t read this. If you can’t handle cold, vindictive, bad dudes, don’t read this. Basically, if you’re sensitive to certain things, this may not be a good fit for you. Anyway, Fable is a really good book with a good plot, and I encourage you to read it! Happy reading!
