This book was good and not all at the same time. It had lots of publicity and was a little exaggerated but overall it sends a really good message and can hit close to home for lots of people, but it also romanticizes the idea of abuse, homelessness, and suicide. This book can make people feel like they are not alone if they are in similar situations and can show how you can break the cycle of abuse. Though the downsides of this book do not outweigh the good that can come out of reading this, be aware that this is fictional and romanticizing trauma, abuse, and homelessness is not ok.
