Poynette Area Public Library
Meeting Room Use Policy
- It is recommended that groups contact library staff in advance to reserve either the Large or Small Conference Room. A room reservation calendar is maintained by library staff at the Circulation Desk.
- A meeting room is only available during regular library open hours. Groups must clean and vacate the meeting room at least ten (10) minutes before the library closes. In the event that the library closes due to inclement weather, the meeting room will not be available for use.
- The Large Conference Room can comfortably accommodate ten to twelve people. The Small Conference Room can accommodate up to eight.
- No one under the age of 18 can reserve a meeting room without adult supervision.
- The group will be responsible to make sure the meeting room is left clean and check for any damage that occurs during the course of their visit.
- Solicitations are prohibited. Groups may reserve the room for their meeting, but they cannot survey library patrons, hand out literature, post flyers, or approach patrons in the public space outside the meeting room.
- Food and beverages are allowed. Library staff will not supply utensils or tableware. Meeting room users are expected to clean up after themselves. Please ask library staff for supplies to sanitize tables and vacuum carpet, as needed.
- Use of a library meeting room does not imply the library’s endorsement of the group’s viewpoint.
- Failure to abide by any of the terms in this policy will result in the loss of future use of a library meeting room.
Please contact the Library Director if you have any questions or concerns.
